Company
Atlantic BioFuels is a company committed to protecting the environment, with 100% privately owned capital. Founded in 2018, the company was established to develop projects in the field of biofuels, with the firm ambition of becoming a key contributor to improving people’s quality of life.
Our main objective is to become a benchmark for environmental sustainability through the production of alternative biofuels from reusable raw materials, thereby contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Atlantic Biofuels has made a strong commitment to research and technological innovation, focusing on the development of new products and more efficient and sustainable production processes. Our R&D&I department has a highly qualified technical team, supported by our own fully equipped laboratory. We actively participate in numerous technical forums and working groups related to the biofuels sector.
Our Mission and Vision
The search for energy sources has been one of humanity’s priorities throughout history. We are aware that oil has a limited future in the medium term, while its extraction is becoming increasingly difficult and costly. Moreover, its indiscriminate use generates greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂, CH₄, etc.) which, according to the broadest scientific consensus, contribute to global warming. For this reason, in recent years, the search for energy alternatives has increasingly focused on clean, sustainable sources that are in balance with the environment.
The need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly CO₂, has driven the automotive industry to develop new technologies, many of which are still in the research and development phase, as well as to adopt alternative fuels to petrol and diesel. These fuels also offer the advantage of reducing dependence on oil, whose reserves are largely located in geopolitically unstable regions.
One of the most important energy sources for replacing oil is biofuels, which derive their name from their biological origin. Among biofuels, biodiesel stands out as an accessible energy source for countries worldwide, offering significant environmental benefits while also providing an opportunity for economic growth in developing countries.
Aware of the global commitment to reducing CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere and decreasing energy dependence, at Atlantic BioFuels we believe that our primary objective is to produce biofuels from sustainable raw materials. In our case, we will reuse a highly polluting waste product — used vegetable oil — and convert it into biodiesel, reducing CO₂ emissions by almost 92% compared with conventional fossil fuels.
